Armed Robbery at TD Bank Under Investigation
The TD Bank on the 2900 block of West Moreland Road in Abington was robbed around 7 a.m. Saturday.
According to multiple reports, authorities in Montgomery County are investigating an armed robbery at the TD Bank on the 2900 block of West Moreland Road in Abington.
Police say they responded to the scene shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday.
According to Abington Patch, a man, described as black, dressed in all black, wearing a mask and carrying a black handgun, accosted two employees of TD bank at 6:45 a.m. as the employees were arriving at work and preparing to open the bank. As one of the employees unlocked the door, the man rushed up and attempted to enter. The employees managed to lock the door but the gunman fired a shot, shattering the door, police said.

He fired at least one shot in the bank before getting away in a black SUV. No money was taken.
