WILLOW GROVE, PA — A 2021 Abington High School graduate who attended the Eastern Center For Arts and Technology to study veterinary science is now studying to become an equine vet.

Heather Judge is now attending Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa. studying veterinary nursing, with an ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian who specializes in horse care.

"Veterinary Science at EASTERN helped me confirm that I wanted to go into the Vet field in college," Judge said in a statement. "It also helped prepare me for my college coursework because I was already familiar with many of the terms being taught in my college program. I felt like I was a step ahead."

Eastern says that its veterinary science program provides students the opportunity to prepare for careers in the animal care industry and will offer participants a working knowledge of small animal industries.

The coursework is offered as a two-year, half-day program.

Eastern is open to students from Abington, Bryn Athyn, Cheltenham, Hatboro-Horsham, Jenkintown, Lower Moreland, Springfield, Upper Dublin and Upper Moreland in eastern Montgomery County.
