WILLOW GROVE, PA — Eastern Center for Arts and Technology is continuing its recognition of Black students during the month of February by highlighting the achievements of Danae Williams, a senior from Upper Dublin who attends Eastern to study business and technology.

Williams, who is currently taking part in an internship at FJ Koelle & Associates, a certified public accounting firm, developed an interest in business due to her parents' line of work in managing properties, according to Eastern, which serves nine eastern Montgomery County communities.

"The Business and Technology program is the perfect head start for my future," Williams said in a statement. 'The dual enrollment partnership with Montgomery County Community College is amazing because I will leave EASTERN with 9 college credits. This is a great opportunity and a great value."

"Danae credits her heritage for influencing every aspect of her life, from the way she speaks, to what she wears, and how she carries herself with faith, pride, confidence, and self-esteem," reads an Eastern news release.

Williams told the school that while she has many role models in life, her mother has been her biggest inspiration.

"My mom helped raise her sibling, worked hard, and is very successful in her own business and as an auditor," Williams said in her statement. "She is a born leader and steered clear of distractions. She is hardworking and inspires me to be the best that I can be."

After graduation, Williams plans to attend Montgomery County Community College to obtain her associate degree in Business, with a goal to then transfer to Temple University and study accounting, economics or business.

She would ultimately like to join her parents' business and become an auditor or accountant.
