EASTERN Student to Cut Hair and Nails to Battle Leukemia and Lymphoma

As part of EASTERN's Cosmetology program, some students are hosting clinics in an effort for a fundraiser.

Erika Rambo has been donating to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on a regular basis ever since her uncle passed away at the age of 40 after suffering from Leukemia.

Now the high school senior will get to give back and do what she’s passionate about as she tries to pursue her career in cosmetology.

Rambo will hold a cosmetology clinic on Saturday, April 6 at EASTERN’s Terwood Road campus. It is open to the public and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

“Running this clinic is the ideal way for me to raise money for a great cause while also getting the opportunity to practice what I love to do.” Erika said.

Erika has been working at John Augustine’s in Horsham part-time since January, and she plans to work there full time as a stylist after she obtains her PA State Board of Cosmetology.
