Tell us about the first responder and how they serve the community.
She has been a volunteer firefighter for 20 years, starting in high school as a junior, and working her way up in a profession that is harder for women to drive all their trucks. She was a sergeant, and lieutenant and is now captain. She serves as treasurer and trustee as well as volunteering at two other fire companies. She puts in hundreds of hours a month serving and helping others. She has numerous certifications and training. She is also a full-time paid fire marshal for her career.
