A master planning process has been in the works regarding Woodlawn Park, which currently exists as a 10-plus-acre space in the community that will soon incorporate the recently acquired adjacent former Woodlawn Elementary School property.
According to information provided by the township, the master planning process will identify indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities at the park, how to improve existing features and future locations within the park, how to improve recreational areas including passive areas and loop trails, how to coordinate with the township's overall parks and recreation system, how to appeal to the community's diverse population and varying economic makeup, and how to provide recreation opportunities for people of all ages and all physical abilities.
