KenCrest Celebrates 10th-annual Prom at UMHS

Rep. Tom Murt was in attendance to support the KenCrest event, that hosted over 300 KenCrest-supported individuals.

Over 300 individuals supported by KenCrest made their way to the gymnasium on Saturday, June 2 to attend the agency’s annual prom.

Representative Tom Murt from Hatboro was in attendance to support the 10th-annual prom despite recent controversy with the Pennsylvania state budget cuts for human services.

The “Knight’s Tale” themed day consisted of dancing, photography and delicious food donated by Citizen’s Bank and Café Lombardi’s.

The event is made possible through a partnership with the high school and the Post-Prom Party Committee, who leave the themed decorations intact from the high school’s actual Prom the night before for people supported by KenCrest to enjoy as their own.

KenCrest offers it’s gratitude to volunteers from Citizens Bank and Upper Moreland High School Upper Moreland, Upper Moreland Post-Prom Party Committee, KenCrest volunteers and Lombardi’s restaurant for making this event a continued success.
