Major Adoption Event To Be Held In Willow Grove
One local shelter said they had 100 dogs come in over the course of a single day this week.
WILLOW GROVE, PA — A major adoption event will be held in Willow Gove this weekend.
The event will take place on Saturday at PetSmart on 3995 Welsh Road from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Organizers with ACCT Philly are hoping to attract a "large crowd" to the event.

More than 50 animals needing homes will be in attendance.
ACCT says they're seeing an influx of animals to shelters they haven't experienced in five years. The shelter had 100 animals come in on Monday, and more than 600 dogs came in throughout July.

Both dogs and cats from ACCT Philly, Waiting on a Friend Animal Rescue, and Providence Animal Center will be on hand. All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
