Montco SWAT Team To Hold Training Wednesday
The sound of simulated gunfire may be heard nearby, and officials asked residents to avoid the area.
UPPER MORELAND, PA — One of Montgomery County's special weapons and tactics team will perform a training exercise on Wednesday, bringing an influx of first responders to the region.
The training will be held at the old Univest building at County Line and Davisville Road in Upper Moreland.
The Eastern Montgomery County Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team will be using equipment which may simulate the sound of gunfire, officials said.

Residents area asked to avoid the area.
"Officers involved in the training may be wearing uniforms and carrying equipment which is different from what our officers usually wear," Upper Moreland Police Chief Andrew Block said. "We want to assure you that the training poses no risk to public safety and officers from our department will be present on the day of the training.'
