New Jewish Deli To Open In Willow Grove

Old school meets new school at this traditional Jewish deli where owners say "hard-to-please patrons and an amiably adversarial staff."

WILLOW GROVE, PA — A popular and growing traditional Jewish deli chain will soon expand its operation to include a Willow Grove location.

Manny's Deli Stop will open at 4003 Welsh Road. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the company says it will be in the near future.

"We wanted to shake up the Jewish Deli scene a bit ... old school meets new school," co-owner Rob Woloshin told Patch. "A big factor of this is our customer service. When you are dealing with a Jewish deli where part of the genre is finicky, hard-to-please patrons and an amiably adversarial staff, we did set a high standard in this category."

Woloshin co-owns the business with brothers Jeremy and Chase Thomas. The Willow Grove shop will be the trio's second location after their flagship home in Southampton.

The group wanted their restaurant to capture the spirit of traditional Jewish delis, preserve something generational and historic, and create something new all at once. Manny's, named after a cook at Camp Nockamixon where the three stayed together as children in the summers, is the result.
