New Middle School Principal Announced In Upper Moreland
Shannon Franczkowski is the new middle school principal in Upper Moreland. She previously served as assistant principal at the high school.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — A new administrator is coming to the Upper Moreland School District community.
School officials recently announced the appointment of Shannon Franczkowski as the new principal at Upper Moreland Middle School.
Franczkowski, who is currently enrolled in a doctoral program toward educational leadership, has already worked in school administration for the past five years, with four of those years serving as assistant principal in Upper Moreland, and another prior year as assistant principal at Wissahickon Middle School in the nearby Wissahickon School District.

While working in administration at Upper Moreland High School, Franczkowski developed the UMatter Program, including the UMatter Den, which provides students and families with access to grab-and-go meal kits, according to a bio provided by the district.
She also was responsible for things like creating a master schedule, course selection and building-wide logistics.

Franczkowski says she decided to enter the education profession in order to learn about student interests and help youngsters identify pathways for success.
She is married and has a daughter.
