Phillies Legend John Kruk To Hold Charity Event In Upper Moreland

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Philadelphia Phillies fan favorite John Kruk will help host a holiday charity donation event in Montgomery County this month.

The "Make Every Kid Happy" event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Thompson Lexus Willow Grove.

Unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items are being collected.

The event is organized by Upper Moreland police, and Kruk will be in attendance and signing autographs from noon to 2 p.m., according to officials.

There will also be additional activities and games for children.

Kruk, now a broadcaster for the Phillies, spent parts of six seasons with the Phillies from 1989 to 1994, and is best remembered for helping lead the legendary 1993 team to the National League pennant.
