Philmont Avenue To Close For Construction: See When, Where

LOWER MORELAND, PA - Highway construction performed by Aqua Pennsylvania is set to impact commuter traffic in Lower Moreland starting next week, authorities said.

Starting June 12 through Sept. 1, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Philmont Avenue between Red Lion Road and Tomlinson Road due to the construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said in a statement. “Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur,” the agency said.

Construction will take place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All scheduled activities are weather permitting. Aqua Pennsylvania will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, PennDOT said.
