Propane Tank Flare Offs Taking Place In Upper Moreland

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Propane tank flare offs will occur throughout the day Thursday in Upper Moreland, police said.

The flare offs are ongoing on Terwood Road. The process involves the use of a stack or combustion device to burn off waste gas with less damage to the environment.

Loud noises and occasional shooting flames should be expected, and there is no need to call 911.

The process will continue through about 4:30 p.m.
