Recall: Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Nougat Crunch

Ben & Jerry's is recalling their Chocolate Nougat Crunch for an undeclared peanut allergen.

Unilever has recalled pints of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Nougat Crunch ice cream due to an undeclared peanuts or tree nuts on the ingredient label.

The labels are missing an allergen advisory, “Allergy Information: Fudge covered wafer pieces have been manufactured on shared equipment that processes peanuts and tree nuts.”

Symptoms of food allergies typically appear within a few minutes to two hours after a person has eaten a food of which he is allergic. Allergic reactions can include hives;  flushed skin or rash; tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth; face, tongue or lip swelling; vomiting and/or diarrhea; cramps; coughing or wheezing; dizziness and/or lightheadeness; swelling of the throat and vocal cords; difficulty breathing; or loss of consciousness.
