Rep. Murt to Distribute Guides for State Veterans Homes
The guides are an effort to ensure veterans receive proper and deserved health care and benefits.

Rep. Tom Murt (R-152) has released that he will be distributing guides on the Pennsylvania State Veterans’ Homes.
The brochures show veterans and their families where the state’s facilities are located, who qualifies, and how to begin the application process.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veteran Affairs' website, the closet veterans home to the Greater Philadelphia region is located in the Northeast section of Philadelphia, at 2701 Southampton Road.

Created in November of 2002, the Delaware Valley Veterans Home is the sixth and newest facility in the commonwealth, and offers two fulltime Physicians on staff and a team of RN's, LPN's and CNA's on each shift providing around the clock continuity of care for each resident, states the website.
“Our veterans have earned the right to the best care we can provide should the day come when they need it,” Murt said in the press release.
This new guide also outlines all the services available at the veteran homes, which are open to vets and their spouses.
