Democrats Dominate Upper Moreland School Board Election
Tuesday night marked a big win for the left in Upper Moreland.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Democrats won resounding victories on the Upper Moreland School Board Tuesday night.
With 13 of 14 precincts in the township reporting, the five candidates running on the Democratic ticket, either on that ticket solely or cross-filing for both parties, won by hundreds of votes over Republicans.
Here are the unofficial results as of near midnight Tuesday. Final tallies will change as the last in-person and mail-in ballots are counted:

The presidential election is a year away, but the results of Tuesday night's local races in the Upper Moreland area and across Pennsylvania will play a key role in the state's future. They'll also important insight into the political landscape of a swing state that could determine the balance of power in the executive and legislative branches next fall.
Results will be considered unofficial until all votes, including those cast via mail and in ballot drop boxes, have been counted.
With an increase in voting by mail, official results likely won't be available for a few days.
Eight candidates are running for five open spots for the Upper Moreland School Board, with two cross-filing as both Democrats and Republicans after winning primaries in both races in the spring.
