Falls and Upper Southampton townships received funds for the improvements from the Shapiro Administration.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Two Lower Bucks County communities are getting municipal traffic signal upgrades from the Shapiro Administration.
Gov. Josh Shapiro and Department of Transportation Secretary Mike Carroll announced that 73 municipalities will receive over $30 million to support traffic signal upgrades, increasing safety and mobility across Pennsylvania’s communities through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) “Green Light-Go” program, increasing safety and mobility across Pennsylvania’s communities by relieving congestion and improving traffic flow.
- Falls Township will receive $259,800 for modernizing traffic signal equipment at Hood Boulevard and Pennsbury High School.
- Upper Southampton Township will receive $445,214 for modernizing traffic signal equipment at County Line Road and Second Street Pike.
Many Green Light-Go grants help municipalities improve congestion and traffic flow by upgrading to newer technologies in detection – which in turn allow traffic signals to respond to real-time traffic demand.
