2 New Police Officers Join Upper Southampton Twp. Force

Upper Southampton Twp. Police also promoted Officer Josh Johnson to detective during a swearing-in at Tuesday's supervisors' meeting.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Upper Southampton Township Police Department has some new members on its force and one member who was promoted to detective.

At Tuesday night's Upper Southampton Board of Supervisors meeting, the police department welcomed two new officers and promoted a new detective. All were sworn in at the meeting.

Police Officer Josh Johnson earned his promotion to detective after a lengthy testing process.

Johnson is a five-year department veteran and is currently a firearms and lethal instructor. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Bloomsburg University.

  • Officer Christina Fusca, formerly of the SEPTA Police Department, holds both bachelor's and master's degrees from Temple University. She brings her two years of urban police experience.
  • Officer Michael McNicholas, formerly of the Philadelphia Police Department, holds a bachelor's degree from Penn State University and a master's degree from Holy Family University. He brings with him five years of urban police experience.
