UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Two men were killed and another injured after a late-night shooting outside The Steam Pub in early October. The Bucks County District Attorney's Office later said the suspect was justified in shooting the men because they were punching him in the parking lot.

Two people were killed and one injured outside The Steam Pub on a Second Street Pike. Authorities did not charge the man who fired the shots, saying he acted in self-defense. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office later released a video of the incident.

Fatal Fire Claims Resident, Several Pets

A resident and several pets were killed during a house fire on Wendy Road just before midnight in early October. Southampton Fire Company No. 1 was dispatched to the home at 462 Wendy Road and encountered "a well-advanced fire" on the first and second floors.

Korean War Vet's Death Leads To Prison For Upper Southampton Woman

An Upper Southampton woman was sentenced in late November to serve up to five years in prison for a March 2021 crash that killed a Korean War veteran, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said. Adrienne Breslin, 46, pleaded guilty in August to homicide by vehicle and related charges for the crash that killed Irwin Linder, 87.

Sex Assaults Not Reported At Southampton Assisted-Living Home

Two former administrators of The Landing of Southampton face neglect charges for failing to report sexual assaults at the assisted-living home, published reports stated. Prosecutors stated the charges stem from the two not reporting the sexual assaults of three female dementia patients to Bucks County officials and the victims’ families.

Centennial Inks College Partnership Agreements

In November, the Centennial School District reached agreements with two college programs so its high school seniors could get admission to college. Centennial reached a deal with Commonwealth University, which has Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield universities under its banner, for four-year admission to qualified students. The district also entered a deal with Bucks County Community College for automatic admission.
