LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — In advance of a project to replace the Buck Road Bridge in the latter half of next year, the Northampton Bucks County Municipal Authority will be relocating water and sewer lines to make way for the new bridge.

The preliminary work begins this week and will last for about a year before PennDOT begins the bridge replacement.

Starting around August 15, Buck Road will be closed in both directions near the Johnny Apples restaurant. Traffic will be able to access businesses adjacent to the bridge area. However, traffic will need to follow the detour.

The bridge will be closed 24 hours a day until November 2025.

During the closure, the Buck Road bridge over Mill Creek will be open for emergency services vehicles only. Thereafter, the road will reopen but will be subject to lane closures and traffic flagging operations until the authority’s project is complete.
