In late January, Ashley Harker, The Landing's former general manager, and Joy Alfonsi, former director of health and wellness at the Street Road facility, each entered open guilty pleas to three counts of felony neglect.
Both are expected to be sentenced on March 21, the state Attorney General's Office said.
In May, then-Attorney General Josh Shapiro filed the charges against the two, saying that they failed to report sexual abuse committed by a male resident with dementia on three female residents also suffering from dementia.
Staff members reported three separate incidents of sexual abuse committed by the same male resident and involving three different female resident victims to Harker and Alfonsi on July 22, 24, and 26, 2021, authorities said.
All the residents lived in The Landing of Southampton’s memory care unit due to suffering from dementia.
Legend Senior Living did not mention the incidents in its press release.
"The Province is a natural fit for us as we continue to grow and build upon our success in Pennsylvania," said Matt Buchanan, Legend Senior Living's executive vice president, in making the announcement.
He said the building offers numerous apartment floor plans, common areas for socializing, a game room, bistro, and an outdoor patio. It offers personal care services, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and specialized rooms for physical therapy and advanced Memory Care therapy and programming.
