Upper Southampton Voter Guide 2023: Who's On Ballot, Where To Vote

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 7, and residents will soon be able to cast their votes for state, county, judicial, local, and school board races.

The election technically has already begun, as mail-in votes have started to return to Lower Bucks County.

For the general election, residents vote for contested and uncontested races.

Who is on the ballot?

Bucks County Coroner

Bucks County will have a new coroner after incumbent Meredith Buck was defeated in the May 16 primary election.

Republican Charles Stockert, a former deputy coroner and police chief, faces Democrat Patti Campi.

Stockert seeks to improve staffing and service while also seeking accreditation for the coroner's office.

Campi is campaigning to share country-specific data regarding the opioid crisis and mental health issues faced by residents of Bucks County.

She defeated Bucks County Coroner in the May 16 primary election for the Democratic party nomination.

Bucks County Commissioner

For County Commissioner, there is also a contested race on the Republican ticket for two seats with Republicans Pamela A. Van Blunk and incumbent Gene DiGirolamo running against Democratic incumbents Robert Harvie and Diane Ellis-Marseglia.

Upper Southampton Township Supervisor

Republican Margaret M. Hoeger is running unopposed for a six-year term on the Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervisors.

Centennial School Board

Region 1 —School Board member Michael Lydon and Cathie Forman, both Democrats, are opposing Republican school board member Charles H. Martin and Kathleen M. Maguire for two, four-year seats.

When To Vote

Polls will be open for in-person voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Drop-Box locations

Lower Bucks County has several absentee/mail-in drop boxes available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Sign and date and declaration on the outer envelope or your vote will not count.
The drop boxes are now available at the following libraries in Bucks County:

  • Bensalem branch, Bucks County Free Library
  • Free Library of New Hope and Solebury
  • Free Library of Northampton Township*
  • Perkasie branch, Bucks County Free Library
  • Riegelsville Public Library
  • Warminster Township Free Library
  • Yardley-Makefield branch, Bucks County Free Library
