Columbia Gas Launches $2.25 Million Pipeline Improvement in Upper St. Clair

The project will have some impact on traffic flow.

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Inc. has launched a $2.25 million pipeline improvement project in Upper St. Clair.

The company is replacing more than 3,200 feet of existing steel pipe within the township. The entire project, including restoration, is expected to be completed by the end of October.

The pipeline improvement project will impact Country Club Drive, Southern Highlands Drive and the intersection where Southern Highlands Drive meets Route 19.

Because or the location of the pipe being replaced, Country Club Drive will have single-lane traffic closures, Monday through Friday, during working hours. There will be a one-week detour in late August impacting the intersection of Southern Highlands Drive and Route 19. The detour will be clearly marked, and motorists are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.

All Columbia Gas employees and contractors carry identification cards bearing their name, photograph and identification number.
