Family Movie Night: 'The Lorax'

The Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair will show the film Thursday night at Boyce Mayview Park.

These days, your family can watch just about any movie you like in the comfort of your own living room.

That’s fine. But sometimes, it’s nice to shake up the routine a bit.

And so the Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair invites you to a showing of “The Lorax” for Family Movie Night, starting at dusk Thursday, Aug. 23, in the multipurpose field at Boyce Mayview Park.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket. A concession stand will be open for snacks and drinks.

In the 2012 film, directed by Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda: "A 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world," according to the movie's imbd.com entry.
