New USC Residential Development Taking Shape

Home construction targeted for September at Fair Acres, off Hays Road.

If you haven’t been to the southeastern corner of Upper St. Clair lately, it’s looking different nowadays.

A major grading project off Hays Road, right before it crosses into Peters Township, is making way for the new Fair Acres residential development.

William McCloskey, the developer, told Upper St. Clair officials that construction of homes is to start in September. That target seems to be on schedule, as soon as utility connections are made.

Fair Acres gained township approval in December, and work on the 37-lot subdivision began in May. Among the custom builders listed for the upscale homes are Cortes Builders, Eddy Homes, Londonbury Homes and Paragon Homes.

The developer is helping to pay for improvements to Hays Road and the township’s nearby Hays Park.
