Blighted Property Being Demolished In Warminster
Two years after forming a committee,

WARMINSTER, PA — They were tired of the safety issues, decrease in property values, and eyesores.
They were tired of the blight.
Two years ago, the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors decided to do something about the blight by forming a committee to examine which blighted properties needed to be put on a list for removal.

The demolition, which began on April 29, is expected to be completed by early June.
The property was targeted by the township for removal last July.
Supervisors passed the property on to the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority, which officially acquired it in September 2024.
Last December, the Redevelopment Authority requested offers for the property, but came up empty. The township then asked to solicit contractors to submit proposals for the demolition and clean-up of the site.
Proposals were received, a bid was awarded, and a notice to proceed with the demolition was issued on April 21.
"Fixing a blighted property is more than construction — it’s a catalyst for safety, beauty, and economic opportunity,” said Mike Walsh, planning director in the township's Licenses and Inspections Department. “The actions taken to address blighted locations in Warminster Township demonstrate the Board of Supervisors’ commitment to building a stronger, more beautiful community."
Once demolition is completed, the Redevelopment Authority will request offers on the property, and buyers will be encouraged to respond.
