Buck Road Bridge To Close For 10 Weeks

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Buck Road Bridge in Northampton Township is expected to be closed for 10 weeks, PennDOT said.

The bridge work, which began on Monday, will allow workers to relocate utility lines. The bridge is scheduled to reopen on Nov. 26, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

From Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 26, Route 532 (Buck Road) will be closed 24/7 between Old Bristol Road and Chinquapin Road, including the Buck Road bridge.

During the closure, drivers will be detoured to use Old Bristol Road, Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike), Route 132 (Street Road), Churchville Road, Bristol Road, Churchville Lane, and Holland Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area as backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

The Northampton, Bucks County Municipal Authority will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
