Burial Ceremony For 3 Lower Bucks Veterans Thursday
The Bucks County Coroner will hold the interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The veterans are from Northampton and Levittown.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Bucks County Coroner's Office will pay its respects to three Lower Bucks veterans with a ceremony Thursday.
Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck —who is based in Warminster —is inviting the community to attend the Unattended Veterans Service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
The ceremony takes place at the ceremony on 830 Highland Rd. at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.

The Coroner’s Office will be interring three unclaimed Lower Bucks veterans:
- Johnnie Jay Jenkins, Coast Guard (Subsistence Specialist Petty Officer Third Class), from Bristol Township
- John Steven Magyar, Army (Private First Class), from Northampton Township
- Richard McVey, Army (Private), from Middletown Township
Buck told Patch Tuesday morning that Jenkins, 66, died at the hospital. He was widowed at the time of his death.

She said that Magyar, 66, died in a nursing home and had no family.
McVey: 67, died in a rehabilitation facility after being released from a hospital a few months prior. Buck said McVey's parents are both deceased and that he was never married and had no children. She said a close friend may attend the service.
During the ceremony, the veterans’ names will be read, and the Pennsylvania Military Honors team will present the flag on the behalf of the veterans. A rifle salute and live Taps will be provided.
After the ceremony, the veterans will each be placed in their own niche in the columbarium which will be engraved with “Proudly Served.”
Unattended Veterans Services were not held during November and December.
