Centennial Adds to Administrative Team
The new personnel will oversee the development and implementation of the district's curriculum plan.

The Centennial School Board held a special meeting Tuesday night to officially hire new members of the curriculum development team.
As the new director of teaching and learning, Jennifer Polinchock will develop the overall curriculum for the schools, making sure the system adheres to state standards and align to a full kindergarten to 12th grade plan. A graduate of William Tennent, Polichock previously worked in the Pennridge School District as a literacy specialist.
It will be up to Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction Christine Matik to take the plan and present it to each school. Matik, formerly a secondary instructional coach at the Hatboro Horsham School District, will be in the field helping teachers implement the curriculum and guide the teams.
The two new hires represent a splitting of the duties that Dr. Joyce Mundy performed before her promotion to district superintendent. Mundy said the planning and implementation of curriculum is definitely a two-person job.
"This is a more team-based approach that will improve the professional development," said Mundy. "Having Christine working directly in the schools will allow Jennifer's main focus to remain on the big picture."
The school board also approved the hiring of Brian Swank as the new assistant principal for Willow Dale Elementary. He previously taught sixth grade at Mill Creek Elementary for the Central Bucks School District.
Centennial also entered into a contract with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit to add Isie Franklin as the interim director of special education after Dr. Susan Klyman was named director of student affairs.
