Firearms Confiscated At Home, Store: Warminster Crimes
The Warminster Township Police Department released its blotter of criminal incidents for April.
WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Firearms were confiscated at a home and in a store, according to two separate criminal incidents reported by the Warminster Township Police Department in its blotter for April.
These are the criminal incidents:
- A woman requested that officers assist her as she responded to her home to pick up belongings. She was trying to contact her father to set up a time to retrieve items from the home. She advised that she had not contacted him and stated he was using drugs. When officers arrived at the house, they attempted to get the 51-year-old man to exit the home. After removing firearms from him, a search of his person was conducted, and drugs were found. The suspect's daughter advised that she would contact the Crisis Unit to try to get her father some help. The drugs were sent to the lab, pending results, The man will be charged with Possession of Counterfeit Controlled Substance.
- Officers were dispatched to Sportsman's Warehouse for the purchase of a firearm by a person who had a criminal history with felonies and was not permitted to own a firearm. The 61-year-old man also lied on the ATF form to purchase the weapon. The man was charged with Criminal attempt and numerous other charges. The man was arraigned before Judge O'Neill, and bail was set at $50,000.00 unsecured. The man was advised not to enter Sportsman's Warehouse.
- Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of a Retail Theft. The suspect was in the custody of Loss Prevention and was cooperating. Once on scene, officers were advised that the woman had left the Walmart. When officers checked the 34-year-old woman's criminal history, it was determined she had two previous Retail Theft arrests. Her license plate number was found and broadcast via Bucks County Radio Dispatch. She was stopped by another police department and returned to Warminster Headquarters to be arraigned and processed. The woman was arraigned and released to her father.
- Officers were dispatched to Warminster Train Station for a report of a disoriented person who needed to be checked on. When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man lying in the parking lot. It was determined that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. When a physical search was conducted, drugs were found on the man. The drugs were confiscated and sent to the lab. While checking the man to confirm his identification, it was determined there was a warrant for his arrest from York County. The man was arraigned before Judge O'Neill, and bail was set at $10,000 unsecured.
- Officers were dispatched to Jonesville Boulevard for a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it was determined that one of the drivers was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The 48-year-old man agreed to perform the Field Sobriety Test, which he failed. A blood draw was done, and pending results, the male will be charged with Driving Under the Influence. The man was processed and released to his mother.
- Officers were dispatched to 800 York Road for a report of an assault. Officers were advised that an 18-year-old man entered a room and assaulted a student. The man was driven to Abington Hospital because of his injuries. The man will be charged with Trespassing, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct.
- Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of a retail theft in progress. Photos were released for the two male suspects, and they were identified by a Horsham Police Officer. The 15- and 16-year-olds will be cited for retail theft via the mail.
