Former Warminster Police Officer Kevin Regan Remembered

Regan had returned to Philadelphia as a police officer last month. A portrait was created by his fellow city officers in remembrance.

WARMINSTER, PA —A former Warminster Township police officer is being remembered for his short time with the police department before he returned to serve in Philadelphia.

Kevin Joseph Regan, 30, of Abington, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 8, according to his obituary by the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, Inc. in Jenkintown.

"Many of us had the honor of interacting with Officer Regan while he served the residents of Warminster. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and his fellow officers at the 9th District and WTPD," the Warminster Fire Department posted on its Facebook page.

Regan worked as a police officer in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Abington Senior High School and Temple University, his obituary states.

Prints were presented to his family at his memorial service. Regan left behind a wife and twin 1-year-old sons.

Regan served as a Philadelphia police officer since 2015, a Facebook post about the portrait states. He briefly left the department briefly to join the Warminster Township Police Department but to return last month. The post said that Regan died a short time after returning.
