Pothole Repairs Planned On Lower Bucks Co. Highways

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —PennDOT maintenance crews will begin patching potholes this week in Lower Bucks County.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that work is starting on more than 65 state highways this week to repair deteriorated pavement in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The Philadelphia region experiences a high volume of potholes each season due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.

PennDOT would like to remind motorists that potholes can be reported to PennDOT’s Customer Care Center by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD or visiting www.customercare.penndot.pa.gov. To date, since Jan. 1, District 6 has received over 1,700 customer concerns regarding potholes.

Drivers are advised of travel restrictions and possible slowdowns next week when driving near work crews patching potholes.

These are the locations:

• U.S. 1, Falls Township.
• U.S. 13, Falls Township.
• Route 32 (River Road), Upper Makefield and Lower Makefield townships and Yardley and Morrisville boroughs.
• Woodbourne Road/Edgely Road, Middletown Township.
• Yardley Morrisville Road/Pennsylvania Avenue, Yardley and Morrisville boroughs.
• Trenton Road, Falls and Middletown townships.
• Oxford Valley Road, Bristol and Middletown townships.
• Bath Road, Bristol Township.
• Old Bristol Pike/Philadelphia Avenue, Bristol Township.
• Durham Road, Middletown Township.
• State Road, Bensalem Township.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in the work zone and refrain from distracted driving to keep themselves and our workers safe.

Crews will be patching potholes until all areas are addressed. All activities are weather dependent.
