WARMINSTER, PA — A $3 million project to overhaul and expand Warminster Community Park is set to begin this spring, officials said.
A new pavilion with restrooms, a splash pad, soccer fields, trails, softball fields and more parking are all included in the work, which is set to begin in late spring.
According to officials, the township has secured more than $3 million in grant money from various sources, including the Bucks County Municipal Open Space Program, the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources and the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

The planned work also will include new PVC fencing, storm water runoff work, access to the park from Bristol Road and landscaping on the former runway.
Once it begins, construction is expected to take 4-5 months. During that time, some trails and runway access may be closed, officials said. They encourage residents planning to use the park during that time to follow all signs and detours.
