Warminster Regional Rail Trains Canceled Thursday, Friday
This marks the third day of Regional Rail line train cancellations as SEPTA works to inspect its Silverliner IV railcar fleet.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — SEPTA has once again canceled Regional Rail trains due to inspections of its Silverliner IV railcar fleet, with the Warminster Regional Rail Lineon the list for Thursday and Friday.
The Warminster Line made the list of cancellations again along with the Airport, Chestnut Hill West, and Fox Chase lines in Philadelphia.
The Warminster Line serves Warminster, Hatboro, Upper Moreland, Willow Grove, Abington, Roslyn, Glenside, Jenkintown, and Elkins Park, before making four Philadelphia stops.

The trains canceled Thursday and Friday are: 9411, 412, 425, 802, 809 and 814. Later in the day, the following additional trains will be cancelled: 9426, 9435, 436, 449, 9450, 9459, 460, 473, 821, 826, 833, 838, 845, 850, 857, 862.
Riders should expect fewer cars for each train, crowded conditions, and skipped stations, especially stations closer to Center City.

SEPTA also warned riders of planned and last-minute canceled trips.
Frequent riders of those impacted trains should use SEPTA's Alternative Service or the trip planner to plan their commutes.
In early October,SEPTA announced that federal authorities issued urgent recommendations that over half of its regional railcar fleet trains posed risks of electrical fires.
The trains in question are SEPTA's Silverliner IV railcars, which are SEPTA's oldest railcars and among some of the oldest in the nation.
Of SEPTA's 390 passenger-carrying railcar fleet, 225 are Silverliner IVs. The fleet includes passenger coaches, cab cars, and self-propelled units.
The Silverliner IV fleet has not been refurbished since its original deployment, which was between 1974 and 1976, according to the NTSB.
