Warminster Rotary Club & Giant Supermarket Team Up
For Spring Food Drive to be Held on April 13

Warminster Rotary Club and Giant Supermarket of Warminster are teaming up for a spring food collection drive to benefit Warminster Food Bank on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (rain or shine). The event will take place at Giant Supermarket of Warminster, located at 720 W. Street Road in Warminster.
Area residents are invited to participate and shoppers will be provided with a list of items needed at the store’s entrances. Items collected will help provide monthly groceries and supplies for families in need in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Donations of cash or Giant gift cards will also be accepted.
Members of the Warminster Rotary Club and volunteers from the Food Bank will be on hand to work with Giant employees and Giant customers to collect non-perishable food items. The items collected will be provided by Warminster Food Bank to people in need in Warminster and the surrounding communities. The Warminster Food Bank serves over 12,000 people a year in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
In addition to helping out at this food collection event, the Warminster Rotary Club Foundation regularly raises funds to support the Warminster Food Bank and is the custodian of the Warminster Rotary Benson Campbell Fund. A portion of this fund is dedicated to the Warminster Food Bank.
“The work of the Food Bank and Rotary goes hand in hand. Today, more than ever our club recognizes and works towards dignified service to those experiencing food insecurity,” said Karin Suttmann, President, Warminster Rotary Club. “Food insecurity isn’t kind, it doesn’t discriminate. The Rotary recognizes that fact and that we’re all in this together, no matter what.”
“Food insecurity never takes a break,” said Mike Cerino, Director, Warminster Food Bank. “Our guests depend on us each month to help alleviate their food insecurity. We hope the community will rally together for our Spring Food Drive and make donations of non-perishable food items and groceries and help us help our neighbors in need.”
