Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hatboro-Horsham

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Get ready for the second storm to hit Hatboro and Horsham Township in less than a week.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Montgomery County in anticipation of the storm that is expected to start around 10 p.m. Friday and bring several inches of snow to the region by Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service for Philadelphia/Mount Holly said the advisory goes into effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.

Montgomery County is expected to see 2-4 inches of snow, the National Weather Service said.

Snow may briefly become heavy late Friday night before tapering off early Saturday, forecasters said.

A nor’easter dumped 5 inches of snow on the area Tuesday after the storm started with an inch of rain.

The National Weather Service said that drivers should plan for slippery road conditions. Motorists should slow down and use caution while traveling, Horsham ChATs said.

Snow showers are likely, mainly before 11 a,m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.
