Hope Foundation finds permanent home in Lycoming County (wnep.com) — A long-serving disability-support nonprofit is establishing a permanent headquarters and Founders Garden at its Reach Road facility in Williamsport, giving donors and families a dedicated local space. Leaders say the move formalizes four decades of work across seven central Pennsylvania counties, including recent investments in remote technology for residential homes. Expect updated signage and more community-focused events at the new site.
   

2. Williamsport earmarks $8M for levee work (sungazette.com) — Williamsport officials have secured an $8 million federal earmark to help fund $10.7 million in critical river levee repairs, aiming to keep the system certified and accredited through at least 2028. Prosecutors allege repeated assaults over two months, while court records say he admitted to several acts. He remains jailed on $250,000 bail as the case moves forward in Lycoming County.

Harvard morgue manager who sold body parts like 'baubles' gets 8-year prison term (nbcbayarea.com) — A high-profile federal sentencing tied to a Harvard Medical School body-parts trafficking case took place this week in Williamsport’s federal courthouse, where the former morgue manager received eight years in prison. His wife was also sentenced, and prosecutors detailed disturbing sales of human remains to buyers in Pennsylvania and other states.
   

5.
