2017 Yardley Harvest Day: What You Need To Know

YARDLEY, PA — Yardley's annual Harvest Day celebration is set for Sept. 16 and promises to offer plenty of fall fun for the family. This year marks a special milestone for the event: it's the 50th year of Yardley Harvest Day.

The day will feature crafters, entertainment, food, entertainment, kid-friendly activities and more.

Organizers promise this year's event will be the biggest and best ever. In the past, as many as 15,000 people flocked to Yardley Borough for the festival.

Here are some of the basics you should know:

HOURS/LOCATION

Festivities will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on E. College Ave., Canal Street , S. Bell Ave. and the field adjacent to Fitzgerald-Sommer Funeral Home on S. Delaware Ave. It's a rain or shine event.

CRAFTERS

Dozens of crafters and vendors have been confirmed, including: 222 Creations; Alia Bensliman Design; Brownie’s Woodcrafts;Covered Bridge Coffee Roasters & Loose Tea; Designed & Crafted by Kathleen; Fallsington Antique and Craft Shop; Gourmet Jelly; Happy Everything Designs. FOOD

So far the following food vendors have been confirmed, according to the event booklet: Chuckwagon Soda; Sherri’s Crab Cakes; Best Darn Kettlekorn; Dutch Magic; J-Dogs Amusements; House of Cupcakes; Beach Shack Food Cart; Fresh Fruit Cup; Yardley Ice House; Guyute’s Barbecue; Nina’s Waffles; and The Little Sicilian.

ACTIVITIES

Kids' activities include: pumpkin painting; face painting, a moon bounce; a kids' gaming trailer; a pirate and princess activity trailer; and a balloon artist.
