5 Police Officers Promoted In Lower Makefield

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has promoted five police officers on its force.

The police department made the appointments during a ceremony earlier this month.

Detective Sergeant George Pitcher.

Pitcher, a 1999 Valedictorian of the Montgomery County Police Academy, began his career in Upper Makefield before joining LMT in 2004. A multi-time TOP GUN and ACE Award recipient, he has excelled in investigations and currently serves as the department’s IT Officer. His outstanding service and leadership earned him promotion to Detective Sergeant.

Sergeant Timothy Lis

Lis joined LMT in 2015 after serving with the Amtrak Police as an officer and K9 handler. He has served as an Acting Corporal, Field Training Officer, and MIRT member, earning the DVCCC Outstanding Police Performance Award. His mentorship and strong supervisory skills make him an excellent fit for sergeant.

Sergeant David Kasprzyk

Kasprzyk joined LMT in 2011 after service with New Hope Borough PD and Bucks County Park Police. He has served as acting sergeant, earning the prestigious Double ACE Award and multiple commendations. His steady leadership and commitment to excellence led to his promotion.

Corporal Michael Urban

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former Deputy Sheriff, Urban joined LMT in 2020. He serves as an FTO, SCERT (SWAT) Officer, Motorcycle Officer, and Police Explorers Advisor. His diverse experience, strong work ethic, and leadership earned him promotion to Corporal.

Corporal Robert Kennedy

Kennedy is a U.S. Army veteran and former Philadelphia police officer who joined LMT in 2010. He has served as an FTO, Accident Reconstructionist, First Aid Instructor, Motorcycle Officer, and Acting Sergeant. His achievements include ACE Awards, Life Saving Awards, and numerous commendations.
