AOY Art Center Celebrates 20th Annual Members Show

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The AOY Art Center is celebrating its 20th Annual Members Show and two decades of creativity and artistic excellence by its vibrant community of artists.

The exhibition opens with a reception from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, and continues weekends through Sunday, Sept. 21. It features a range of works across many mediums with over 140 pieces from 77 artists.

Held at the AOY Art Center gallery at 949 Mirror Lake Road, the show is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m. The gallery is hosted by the participating artists.

Admission is free. Donations are appreciated.

The 20th year milestone showcases the talent and variety of AOY’s membership with artwork in
painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, silkscreen prints, and mixed media. Visitors will
experience an engaging and eclectic mix of styles, themes, and perspectives.

“It’s a true celebration of the passion, skill, and community spirit that defines AOY," said Bette
Sovinee, the AOY Art Center's executive director.

The 20th anniversary ends with Art on the Farm on Sept. 21, an all-day celebration with art vendors, food, and music.

The opening reception Friday offers a chance to meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and be among the first to experience the show.

Artwork will also be available for purchase via the AOY Online Gallery at www.aoyarts.org, offering collectors and art lovers the convenience of shopping from home.

Twenty years ago, Artists of Yardley held its first exhibition at a former ambulance garage on
River Road. It consisted of 20 artists.

Today the AOY Art Center has been in the 1837 Janney House on Patterson Farm for the past 15 years and has grown to over 360 members.

AOY Art Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing creativity and supporting
artists of all levels. Located on the historic Patterson Farm in Lower Makefield Township — just
east of the Interstate 295 and Route 332 interchange.

AOY offers year-round classes, workshops, exhibitions, and community events.
