Broken Water Main Floods Firestone Store In Bensalem
The auto care store, located on Street Road, had up to a foot of water inside before firefighters were able to open the garage doors.
BENSALEM, PA — The Eddington Fire Company of Bensalem responded to a water flow alarm at a Firestone store in the early hours of Wednesday, Dec. 1.
The fire company arrived at 4:41 a.m. after the police department reported a foot of water inside the premises. The water began to flow out onto Street Road.
After the reports were confirmed, the fire company went into the building with Engine 28 to find a broken underground water main, which was the source of the flooding.

Engine 28 went around back to break open the garage doors to let some of the water out.
After having the water shut off, PECO was called out to cut all electricity to the building, as all the electrical boxes were submerged in water.
