Garage Destroyed, House Damaged In Destructive Yardley Blaze

The fire took place in the Quarry Commons Development on Wednesday morning. Firefighters from surrounding townships came to help.

YARDLEY, PA — A house fire broke out in Yardley on Wednesday morning, requiring the assistance of several nearby fire and rescue stations.

According to the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company, the fire broke out in the Quarry Commons Development around 11:30 a.m. Reports of a possible house fire were made, and responding units arrived to find heavy fire coming from an attached garage.

Members of the fire company, who arrived with members of the Newtown Emergency Services and Langhorne-Middletown Fire Companies, began efforts to extinguish the flames. The fire company's Ladder 80 was able to get multiple hand lines ready to use to fight the large fire.

Members of fire departments from Falls Township, Fairless Hills, William Penn, and Northampton Township also arrived to help at the scene.
