Bucks Free Library Branches To Reopen In July

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — All seven branches of the Bucks County Free Library will be reopened to the public on July 6, officials announced Monday.

The library branches, which opened for curbside pickup on Monday, will once again open their doors in another two weeks.

"We’ll be smiling under our masks, and we know you’ll be smiling, too!" the library system said in a post on its website.

Branch hours will be 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays at all branches except the Doylestown branch.

In Doylestown, the library will be open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays.

The following coronavirus-related safety measures will be in place, according to library officials:

• Masks will be required and staff will be wearing masks.
• Social distancing will be practiced.
• Curbside pickup will continue after doors are opened.
• Buildings will be opened up to 75 percent capacity.
• Computer sign-ups will be limited to one hour per person per day.

Bucks County Free Library branches have been closed since March 14.

Books being returned through the system's book drops currently are being quarantined for 72 hours before being processed. You can find more information on the library system's coronvirus page.

• 7311 New Falls Rd., Levittown

• 1080 Edgewood Rd., Yardley
