YARDLEY BOROUGH, PA — In the spirit of the Jack-O-Lantern, Yardley Borough will be the jack of all trades once again this Halloween season.

The borough is holding its annual Canal-O-Ween the last week of the month, starting with its Carve-O-Thon at noon Sunday, Oct. 26, in which pumpkins will be prepared to be illuminated along the Delaware Canal.

Carve-O-Thon takes place at the corner of Morgan and Fuld Avenue (in the Rivermar neighborhood north of Afton Avenue between the Delaware River and Delaware Canal).

Over 400 pre-gutted pumpkins (done by volunteers) will be waiting for families to carve up.

Canal-O-Ween has taken place in the borough for over 15 years.

Residents and visitors can then enjoy the beauty of the autumn season as they stroll along the Delaware Canal, seeing the creativity of the individually carved Jack-O-Lanterns on display.

The main sponsor this year is the Yardley Borough Parks and Recreation Department, which is providing the pumpkins.
