'Celebration of Life' To Honor Morrisville Athletic Director

John Hubiak died suddenly in mid-May. The school district will pay its respects to him at Morrisville High School Saturday.

MORRISVILLE, PA —The Morrisville School District will hold a ceremony Saturday in tribute to its long-time athletics director who died last month.

The school district has announced a "Celebration of Life" in memory of John Hubiak, who died in mid-May after battling a recent health concern.

The ceremony takes place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the gymnasium at Morrisville High School, 550 W. Palmer St., Morrisville.

Those attending are encouraged to wear Morrisville High School gear or blue and gold.

"Our Morrisville community and beyond will miss him dearly," Interim Schools Superintendent Sean D. Haines said in announcing Hubiak's death. "He was a staunch supporter of our student-athletes for many years and is a Bulldog through and through."

Hubiak was the district's long-time Morrisville Middle/Senior High School athletics director.
