Code Blue Shelter Volunteers Needed In Bucks Co.
With temperatures dropping and winter approaching, the organization that handles Code Blue Shelters will hold training on Friday.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — With temperatures dropping as winter approaches, the organization that runs Lower Bucks County's Code Blue shelters needs volunteers.
Advocates for the Homeless & Those in Need — a non-profit organization that provides meals, resources for laundry, hotel stays, and code blue shelters for the homeless community in Lower Bucks County — seeks volunteers to help support those services.
AHTN is offering a new volunteer training on Friday, Program Consultant Clarissa Makhoul said.

The training will be held from 7-8 p.m. at the Woodside Church, 1667 Edgewood Road in Yardley.
"This in-person training will cover everything you need to know to help keep our neighbors safe, warm, and cared for during freezing nights," Makhoul said.

She said no experience is needed. Click here to register for the training.
Code Blue shelters in Bucks County are temporary, emergency homeless shelters that open when temperatures drop to 26 degrees or below, including wind chill.
They are operated by local non-profits and rely on volunteers to provide a warm, safe place to stay with a meal for those experiencing homelessness.
