Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission Selects New Officers

Aladar G. Komjathy, a Lambertville, New Jersey resident and half of Komjathy & Kean, LLC., was elected chairman of the commission on Monday.

YARDLEY, PA — The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has announced its panel of officers that will serve for the next 12-month period, according to a statement from the commission.

Aladar G. Komjathy, a Lambertville, New Jersey resident, U.S. Navy veteran, and one-half of business management consultant Komjathy & Kean, LLC., was elected chairman of the commission. His oath of office was administered by U.S. District Court Judge Douglas E. Arpert, a childhood friend of his.

As the new chairman, Komjathy replaces Michael B. Lavery, who had served as chairman since December of 2015. Lavery worked as an attorney out of Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Komjathy's 40 years of experience in public services and business made him an excellent candidate for the position. His firm, which works in government affairs, offers services to a host of national corporate brands, including Amazon, Comcast, GlaxoSmithKline, and Anheuser-Busch. He also serves on the New Jersey State Board of Mortuary Science.

Until recently, Komjathy was the long-time chairman of the Lambertville Board of Fire Commissioners. He has also held the positions of president of the Hunterdon County Board of Taxation, the special assistant to New Jersey’s Commissioner of Corrections, and legislative assistant to former state Senator Francis J. McManimon of Mercer.

Pamela Janvey of Upper Moreland was re-elected as Vice Chairwoman of the commission. A former accounting department supervisor at the Bridge Commission, Janvey has had experience in both the real estate industry and in service delivery for at-risk families and residents in Bucks County.

Since 2013, she has served as a board member of the Livengrin Foundation for Addictive Recovery. The Bensalem-based organization was one of Pennsylvania’s first non-profit treatment centers for drug and alcohol dependency.

Daniel Grace of Feasterville was re-elected as Secretary of the commission. He has been a
member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) Local 830 of Pennsylvania for
four decades.

Having served as the organization’s Secretary-Treasurer/Business Manager since
2001 and as an executive board director of the 95,000-member Pennsylvania Conference of
Teamsters since 2005, Grace also serves on a variety of other union-related boards and councils.

Yuki Moore Laurenti of Trenton, New Jersey was re-elected as Treasurer. She is the Associate Director of Donor Relations at Princeton University and has served as treasurer since 2017.

With three previous terms as Secretary-Treasurer and an A.B. in economics from Harvard University, Laurenti has served on the city’s school board, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and the Princeton Chapter of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

The oaths for Janvey, Grace, and Laurenti were administered by the Commission counsel.
