Fraudulent Checks, Stolen Activewear: LMT Police Log
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department dealt with a number of incidents over the past two weeks.
LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Lower Makefield Township Police reported a number of incidents between Aug. 27 and Sep. 8.

Friday, Aug. 27
12:59 p.m. — A complainant on the 1200 block of Knox Drive reported writing a check for $509, that was then cashed for $8,900 with a different payee’s name.

Saturday, Aug. 28
10:41 a.m. — Someone on the 1700 block of Quarry Road reported that an unknown person opened credit cards in their name.
Monday, Aug. 30
10:35 a.m. — A complainant on the 1400 block of Green Meadows reported unauthorized use of a credit card in an amount of over $3,000.

Tuesday, Aug. 31
8:39 a.m. — Police on patrol at Twining Road and Lindenhurst Road stopped a car for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of fraudulent inspection stickers, no registration and the driver driving with a suspended license. The 40-year-old man from Philadelphia will be summonsed for fraudulent documents and related charges.
11:25 a.m. — A complainant on the 500 block of Aspen Woods Drive reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits in their name.
11:30 a.m. — Someone on the 500 block of Countess Drive reported unauthorized use of a credit card in the amount of $1,114.84.
12:10 p.m. — Someone on the 700 block of Big Oak Road reported unauthorized use of a credit card in the amount of $625.55.
4:46 p.m. — Police on patrol on Big Oak Road and Oxford Valley Road stopped a car for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of fraudulent documents. The 33-year-old female driver from Levittown will be summonsed for a fraudulent documents charge.
Wednesday, Sep. 1
12:59 p.m. — A complainant on the 1200 block of Knox Drive reported writing a check for $476.00 that was cashed for $4,800 with a different payee’s name.
Thursday, Sep. 2
3:27 p.m. — A complainant on the 3500 block of Waltham Court reported that someone applied for unemployment benefits in their name.
Tuesday, Sep. 7
9:43 a.m. — Someone on the 200 block of Kennedy Way reported unauthorized use of a credit card in the amount of $772.04.
4:24 p.m. — Loss Prevention at Kohl’s on the 1600 block of Big Oak Road reported an unknown man fled the store with a shopping cart full of activewear clothing. Investigation ongoing.
9:08 p.m. — Police on patrol at the Shell Station on the unit block of Oxford Valley Road stopped a car for violations. Further investigation revealed two people in the car were wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. The 33-year-old man and 29-year-old woman from Philadelphia were taken into police custody.
Wednesday, Sep. 8
10:46 a.m. — A complainant on the 1100 block of Temple Drive reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits in their name.
1:04 p.m. — Police on patrol stopped a car at 500 W. Trenton Ave for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of fraudulent inspection and emissions stickers. The 45-year-old man from Levittown will be summonsed for fraudulent documents.
4:29 p.m. — A complainant on the unit block of Glenolden Road reported that someone damaged their mailbox.
