Lindenhurst Road Closed Weekdays For Over A Month

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A section of Lindenhurst Road will be closed weekdays through late August as work on the PECO natural gas project continues.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the work takes place each weekday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Lindenhurst Road between Route 332 and Route 532 in Lower Makefield and Newtown townships.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Route 332, Durham Road, and Route 532.

The contractor is starting at the bypass and will be working their way north to mill and overlay the road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
